Free membership of Kunsthal Aarhus' friends association!

Become an ambassador for Kunsthal Aarhus – join KA Venner and come closer to contemporary art.

As a special initiative, it’s free to become a member of KA Venner in 2016. In return we hope, that we arouse your interest in contemporary art, and that you, as an ambassador, want to help us spread the message about the activities  in Kunsthal Aarhus to your network; you become an  ambassador for a historical exhibition space that has exhibited, communicated and discussed contemporary art for almost 100 years.

Members’ benefits
Kunsthal Aarhus offers 10% discount on coffee and sandwiches in the café (for cardholders only)
50% discount on admission in other Kunsthals, that are members of FKD (Association for Kunsthals in Denmark: www.kunsthaller.dk

Influence
As a member you will gain influence in an association that is a passionate about contemporary art. You will get the opportunity to take part in an on-going dialogue with the kunsthal and you will be entitled to vote at the Annual Generel Assembly, where a work of art is distributed among the members every year.

News
As a member of KA Friends you will be updated on events in the house. At the same time we will send out information and invitations on email, when special things take place in the house, also the special events for KA Friends.

Events in 2016
Every event consists of a short talk preferably with the present artists, a presentation from Kunsthal Aarhus and maybe a presentation by one of Kunsthal Aarhus’ local, institutional partners.

1 March: Annual General Assembly including the distribution of an artwork. Introduction to Kunsthal Aarhus by Artistic Director Jacob Fabricius and Administrative Director Iben Hofstede. Short introduction  by the artists behind the exhibition project MACA – Mastering the Art of Contemporary Art (New York).

1 June: Introduction to the exhibition Something to Generate From by Madrassa Collective and Artistic Director Jacob Fabricius. The exhibition project is an Open Call collaboration with CKU, Center for Culture and Development. 

1 August: Introduction by WRO Art Center. Presentation by Artistic Director Jacob Fabricus and Administrative Director Iben Hofstede. 

1 November: Hasselblad Foundation – guided tour in the exhibition taking place at Gallery Image, Aros - Aarhus Museum of Modern Art and Kunsthal Aarhus.
